ECDC: Transforming Stakeholder Engagement with Microsoft Dynamics CRM
Uni Systems has successfully collaborated with the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) in a project aiming to transform its stakeholder engagement using Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
The ECDC was established in 2005 as an EU agency aimed at strengthening Europe's defenses against infectious diseases. The organization collaborates with national health protection bodies to develop continent-wide disease surveillance and early warning systems. By pooling health knowledge from experts throughout Europe, ECDC provides authoritative scientific opinions about the risks posed by current and emerging infectious diseases.
As a prominent European Agency focusing on health and infectious diseases, ECDC needed a comprehensive ongoing solution to manage its internal and external relationships with stakeholders. The organization required a platform that could:
- Manage contacts, relationships, and interactions with all ECDC stakeholders.
- Support the official Nomination Process.
- Comply with EU and ECDC security and data protection regulations and policies.
Our team implemented a Stakeholder Management System using Microsoft Dynamics CRM. The solution included:
- Development, maintenance, and evolution of a CRM system tailored to ECDC's requirements.
- Providing access to external users through a secure portal.
- Implementing Marketing CRM functionality (campaigns, newsletters, customer journeys, etc.).
- Integrating the CRM system with multiple other systems and applications.

Our Dynamics CRM solution has become the primary business system for managing ECDC's contacts, relationships, and interactions with stakeholders. Key outcomes include:
- Consolidating a 360-degree view of all ECDC contacts (information and interactions) in a single tool.
- Providing rich operational reporting through Power BI.
- Facilitating and improving cooperation between ECDC and Member states and other stakeholders.
