ARMONIA
Self-adjusting and integrated metropolitan and access network (ARMONIA)
Image
Project Details
Utilization of new network technologies (Software Defined Networks - SDN) and support of virtual network functions through software (Network Function Virtualization - NFV). Integration and joint operation of different network parts (mobile, access, metropolitan) that multiplies the benefits of the dynamic operation of each individual part.
Goals
- Implementation of big data analysis algorithms of optical & IP surveillance information networks.
- Implementation of combined optimization algorithms for optical and IP networks.
- Integrating analysis and optimization functions into a programmable network controller through software and cooperation with a virtual network operations orchestrator.
- Demonstration of pilot operation of a self-regulating and unified network (ARMONIA).
Results
- Technological development and demonstration of new or improved products
- Publications
- Support of young researchers
- European research dimension
